ULAANBAATAR city sightseeing tour includes the top attractions of the city, plus lunch in a fine Mongolian restaurant.

You will start the day by visiting an active monastery that holds the 26.5 m gilded Buddha statue.

Next, visit the Chinggis Khaan” museum of Mongolia, followed by the city’s main square.

The Zaisan Hill climb will let you see the panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar.

ITINERARY
  • 09:00 Our guide and driver meet you at your accommodation. The tour starts at the Gandantegchilen Monastery to see the chanting of the Buddist monks followed by visits to old monasteries left by the communist purge of the 1930s. Gandantegchilen is the biggest active monastery in Mongolia. As well as a peaceful and interesting place. Particularly, the 26 m high gilded deity of Buddha.

  • 10:30 Visit Central Square surrounded by the Government House, Cultural Centre, Stock Exchange, and Drama Theatre. At the square, you will see a big statue of the national pride Genghis Khan and revolutionary hero Sukhbaatar except for hearing some stories about the area. Also, you will find out the square is an ideal place for youths to spend their free time.

  • 11:00 Visit the National Museum of Mongolia. The museum is one of the most informative museums that display a variety of historical and cultural items ranging from 700 000 years old prehistoric to modern-day historical relics and different ethnic group clothing, daily nomadic life items, and much more.  

  • 13:30 Have authentic Mongolian meals for lunch.

  • 15:00 Drive to a war memorial on Zaisan Hill to see panoramic views of Ulaanbaatar.

  • 16:00 Visit the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum. The museum consists of beautiful Chinese and Mongolian temple-style buildings and a Russian-style two-story winter palace where the Mongolian last king, religious leader Bogd Jabuzandamba lived more than 100 years ago.

  • 17:30 Arrive at Tumen Ekh National Song or Department store. 

  • 19:30 Our guide and driver will drop you off at your accommodation. End of the tour.
